Craigslist Framed Raccoon Knitting

Upon ordering a framed knitting of a raccoon that I found on Craigslist I couldn't contain my excitement. What better way to capture the joyous spirit of raccoons than with a piece of art made out of yarn? The seller's description of the item gave me the impression that it would become the centerpiece of my living room; I had already removed my raccoon-themed mounted wall clock in order to make room for the new arrival. I didn't feel the need to ask why the seller didn't upload a picture of the item onto the listing because I simply assumed that it was to ensure no counterfeits could be made by copying the pattern, but in retrospect I wish I would been more cautious about buying something I'd never seen. When it arrived I nearly fell into a deep and dark depression as a result of how disappointing it was. It seems to me that the artist of this piece had an exceptionally flimsy grasp on the physical characteristics of raccoons, because it is the poorest rendition of the animal that I've ever seen. The image of the item will be attached at the bottom of this entry, for visual reference. The neck is far too elongated and the face is completely wrong, there isn't even a mask. It's a shame that it turned out so badly, but that is the inherent risk in purchasing raccoon goods off of the internet.
